Mission and vision
THE SEND dreams of a young generation living radically for Jesus. A generation that goes ‘ALL-IN’, makes a difference in their surroundings and makes Jesus visible in every part of their lives, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We do not believe that faith has ‘disappeared’ from the Netherlands. On the contrary: we are at the beginning of a supernatural movement and revival of faith among young people. Our vision is to bring young people together, touch them with God's presence and activate them to take their place in God's plan, locally and globally.
THE SEND is a movement activating young people for the Great Commission.
Mission statement
The Send is a collaborative, global coalition of followers of Jesus dedicated to the fulfilment of the Great Commission. THE SEND is focused on spreading the gospel, activating and equipping young people worldwide to go out as messengers who share the good news in a personal way with everyone, this is the sound of “GO!”
We believe:
•
That the Bible is God's inspired and authoritative Word and reveals that Jesus Christ is God's Son;
•
That humans are created in God's image;
•
That He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ
•
That despite the fact that all people have sinned and fall short of God's glory,
•
God made salvation possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ;
•
That repentance, faith, love and obedience are appropriate responses to God's grace initiative towards us;
•
That God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth;
•
That the power of the Holy Spirit is revealed in and through us to fulfil Christ's final mission: to go into the world.
These beliefs form the core of what we believe and stand for. We work in unity with all who share these convictions and with the worldwide Church, with the sole aim that the world comes to know Jesus.
“How then shall they call on Him in Whom they believe not? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without one who preaches?”
- Romans 10:14 (HSV)
