Organisation and Partners
THE SEND is much more than a series of events; it is about activation, about young people saying, “Here I am, send me.” ALL-IN for Jesus. A generation on the move to reach their own generation with Jesus.
We challenge young people to become active within one or more of THE SEND Netherlands‘ 5 Mission Areas. ’Own City - Own Village’, ‘Law and Justice’, ‘Schools and Universities’, ‘Working Environment’ and 'World Mission'. As soon as a Youth indicates within which Mission Area they want to become active, they are followed up, helped and supported by one of THE SEND's outcome partners.
Partner organisations and local churches are essential.
They walk with them, providing direction and
helping to shape their “YES” in discipleship and mission.
Cooperation & Follow-up

The practical follow-up, the next step, is taken up and organised by various (outcome) partner organisations of THE SEND, operating within the 5 Mission Areas.

The connection with the local church, which young people are part of, is of great importance and often proceeds in a more organic way. Young people return to their own church, full of fire and passion. These young people have said ‘yes’ to Jesus. Let us embrace them all-in, walk with them, guide and support them (discipleship) so that they can reach their generation outside the church with Jesus. What a great opportunity for the church, to become more missional together.

- Young people coming to faith are referred to Youth Alpha and to Jesus.net volunteers. If a youth indicates they do not attend a church, they will be called personally.

THE SEND is not about one organisation, church or person. Legally, THE SEND Netherlands falls under the Youth with a Mission foundation (JmeO); the financial risk is also borne by JmeO. But the heart of the movement is carried by a broad coalition of partners, leaders and volunteers from different parts of the church in the Netherlands.
